10 Years.....and Vacation Recap

Today is the 10th anniversary of my first blog post.  Kinda strange to think I've been putting thoughts, photos, and questions out into this corner of the internet for 10 years.  I know I don't write often anymore, but I do still read blogs, so maybe someday I'll come back and write here more often.

Wishing to rewind the calendar a few days to the cooler days of our vacation in Red River.  The 100 degree days this past week have just about done me in.....

Here are a few photos of a very fun week:

Papa and Grandpa helping Emily and Anna fish at the 12 & under pond in town

Emily's first fish.....she wasn't really so sure about it

Anna was a bit more excited with her catch!

Tuesday night Cowboy Dinner at Moreno Valley....yummmm!

Ten on Ten - May 2014

listening to one of my favorite book series as I get ready for the day

wrapping birthday presents

Heather decided to take the girls to Lowe's and I went along to help - the girls had so much fun!

we had time to stop by the park on the way to lunch....the girls had fun swinging!

family lunch at Little Italy - one of our favorite places!

starting the girls early!

helped Daddy work on changing out switches and outlets - that is a much bigger job than it seems like!

ready to head out for Phillip's birthday dinner.....but first Anna has to clean up her room!

gyros for dinner at Niko's - a relatively new eatery in town

no present can be opened without help when there are two little girls around

Easter 2014

Easter Sunday ..... overcast and cool made for perfect weather to spend time outside after worship and before lunch.

 posing in the iris

Anna dominated the 3-year old egg hunt

as did Emily in the 5-year old hunt

then the anxious starting line for the combined egg hunt....

and they're off!

Papa and his girls....

and finally....the BOYS had to hunt for eggs! don't they look excited?

It was a great relaxing day of family, food and fun. And of course, the reminder that HE IS RISEN!
